Waqas Butt is an Anthropologist and writes on cultural, social and political issues. He attended Government College Sahiwal, Punjab, Pakistan. After his graduation in Pakistan he obtained the degree of “Doctorandus” in Social Anthropology from University of Amsterdam. Then he was teaching Anthropology in Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. Since 2006 Waqas Butt is working in local government in UK. He contributes frequently to Punjabi, Urdu, Dutch and English newspapers, magazines, books, and journals.
Hasan Jawed is a Consultant Psychiatrist by profession and a former student activist. He graduated in Medicine from Karachi, Pakistan and underwent postgraduate training in Psychiatry in the UK. He has special interest in the history of left activism in Pakistan. He has co-authored 3 volumes on the history of National Students Federation and students movements in Pakistan, titled Sooraj Peh Kamand (Scaling the Sun).

He attended Gordon College Rawalpindi, graduated in Medicine from Karachi, read Audiology at Manchester and History at St Andrews Universities. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of Dundee and an Emeritus Editor.
